Prepare for a foreclosure defense conversation in Brevard County.
Save the complete sale notice and any order changing the date. When calling about a near-term sale, lead with the date shown on the latest document, not the date on an older letter.
Explain what you want to resolve and what has happened so far. Anthony Rumore, P.A. can discuss a review of your court papers, possible defense issues and the scope of representation. Use the local resources below to gather information—not to decide a deadline or legal response on your own.
Brevard’s sales have moved online
The Brevard Clerk’s sales page states that foreclosure auctions on or after September 2, 2026 are held online. Older instructions may still describe an in-person sale in Titusville. Use the current Clerk page and the case record rather than an old location printed on a saved web page. The Clerk also provides a separate case-search entry point for the underlying lawsuit.
Melbourne and Palm Bay: do not rely on older sale instructions
Brevard’s switch to online auctions is a reason to check the current official source, not a reason to wait. The sale format and the legal questions in the lawsuit are different matters. Keep both the notice you received and any updated information you find.
If the complaint’s balance does not match your records, collect payment confirmations and statements in date order. If the concern is a scheduled sale, put the latest order first. These records make the initial conversation more useful than an auction screenshot alone.
Your local court resources
Brevard County is part of Florida’s Eighteenth Judicial Circuit. Use the county and case number on your court papers when locating records; another county in the same circuit has a separate Clerk and case search.
What to have ready for your conversation
- The complete summons, complaint and any recent court notices.
- Your latest mortgage statement and relevant payment or servicer correspondence.
- Any response already filed, prior agreement or scheduled hearing or sale.
Anthony Rumore, P.A. serves homeowners in Melbourne, Palm Bay, Titusville and Cocoa. Discuss your goals, the court papers and the possible scope of representation. The firm’s office is in Fort Lauderdale; this page describes service coverage, not a Brevard County office.
What a defense review can cover
A review may consider who is entitled to enforce the loan, required notices, service, the amount claimed and relevant servicer communications. The issues depend on your documents and case history; a list of possible defenses does not mean any particular defense applies.
Ask what needs attention now, what further records are needed and whether a negotiated resolution should be considered alongside the litigation. No outcome is guaranteed.
How the firm approaches a Florida foreclosure defense ↗Questions from Brevard County homeowners
Is this a local office in Brevard County?
No. The firm is based at 1318 SE 1st Ave in Fort Lauderdale and serves homeowners throughout Florida. Ask about consultation and representation arrangements for your matter.
Does an auction listing tell me everything about my case?
No. Start with the Brevard County resources above, but also keep your court notices and orders. A listing, changed date or missing search result does not establish that the lawsuit is over or that no response is needed.
Return to the official local resourcesWhat if a hearing or sale is approaching?
Call the firm and identify the date on your latest notice. Do not wait for an online reply. Contacting the firm does not stop a case, change a deadline or create an attorney-client relationship; representation must be separately agreed upon.
